We offer a full spectrum of tree care from fruit tree pruning in domestic gardens to clear fell forestry work for large estates and commercial clients, and everything in between. We also have an established firewood round, delivering logs to a variety of customers. Some who have been buying logs from us for many years.
The business is now owned and run by Paul Smith, but previously included Paul's father Brian, who has worked within the industry and helped build up our wide customer base for over forty years. Paul has always had an interest within the industry, and on leaving the armed forces in his early twenties pursued his passion for tree works alongside his father.
Having worked both within forestry and tree surgery, we have also worked within the utility arboriculture industry as sub-contractors to EDF Energy. This full spectrum of tree work experience has given us a fantastic amount of experience to cover all aspects of the industry.
The industry as a whole is ever changing and as a company we try our upmost to keep up. We are associate members of the arboricultural association and attend various seminars and meetings as well as reading industry literature to help with this. Health and safety is a huge part of this industry and this is a matter that is always at the fore front of our minds. It is our aim as a company to carry out works to the best of our ability as safely and as efficiently as possible, whilst keeping in line with british standards for the industry. We strongly believe that by doing this it helps to keep us a respected company. We are currently recommended by local and county councils as approved contractors which reinforces this.
Our strengths as a company are the fact that we are a friendly, reliable and trustworthy company that offers good value for money. Being a relatively small company we are able to offer a very personal service, and many of our customers both private and commercial like this, as the person that quotes for the work is there during the works process and this enables the work to be carried out accurately to the customers requirements. We regularly receive this positive customer feedback. Which enables potential customers to monitor our previous works through a customer feedback system, and view all comments made about us as a company and the services we provide. Also with our experience within the industry and our expertise alongside our extensive range of machinery that we have invested in over the years, enable us to carry out works that many other companies of our size would be unable to achieve.
Due to a current constant change within industry regulations and guidelines we can see opportunities arising within advisory capacities to the domestic and commercial clients, especially when dealing with planning restraints, and submitting planning applications.
Our current aim as a company is to maintain a high quality, reliable and friendly service to all our existing customers, and to extend this customer base through our adverts and array of services.
We are covered by £10 million of public liability insurance which enables us to work on public highways and carry out work on behalf of both district and county councils.
